Iris Seise is the full charge bookkeeper at Jane Gil Gardens. She is a born and raised native New Yorker whose family comes from Puerto Rico. She spent her youth helping in community gardens all over the Lower East Side of Manhattan thanks to the help of non-profit organizations such as Henry Street Settlement and Abrons Arts Center. One of her very first jobs was as a camp counselor at Henry Street Settlement where she learned to tend the community garden right next to P.S. 134.

Iris has been a project accountant and bookkeeper for over 10 years supporting architecture/landscape firms and nonprofit organizations. With a strong background in both finance and team support she has worked closely with project managers and clients to ensure cohesive, collaborative work on projects. She has also worked closely with the DDC, EDC, Parks and Recreation, and other State/City agencies.
